An itinerary suspended above the lake amid the forests and old mule tracks.

The starting point is in the Lido di Cannobio zone. Skirt the playing field and follow the state route toward Locarno for approx. 1.5 km to the fork for Ronco, which will take you up to the centre of the little town. From Campeglio continue along the road to reach Sant’Agata. Then circle back to the parking area before Sant’Agata and continue to the left toward Cinzago. After crossing through the town, take the mule track for San Bartolomeo in Montibus; after crossing a small bridge, turn right at a chapel and soon afterwards, go down the stairway to Formine. Back in Cinzago, take the lovely path that leads down to Campeglio. After passing through the little town, stay to your right to take the path to Cannobio: be very cautious due to the many steps. The path ends at the state route just outside of Cannobio, so you can return quickly to the Lido.
