An excursion in the splendid mountain territory of the provinces of Novara and Verbano Cusio Ossola.
Departure from the station in Stresa toward the Mottarone. The base of the lifts is situated at a distance of about 20 km. Continue on the paved road and turn right on the uphill road to the summit. Continue on the same road until you reach a broad area where a dirt path leads back to the paved road. Turn to the left to return back down along the same paved road. When you reach a spring, turn right and follow the path that leads to a mountain pasture. Continue until it again leads back to the paved road. Then take the dirt road that leads to the base of Mount Falò. Turn left to go downhill again until you come to the provincial route for Gignese. Turn right onto the paved road until you come to a group of chalets where an uphill track starts. When you reach a crossroads, take the uphill track on the right and you will ride along several ups and downs. When you reach the Vago Chapel, return to the paved road, then turn left along a secondary road, finally follow the dirt road to Invorio. From here, follow the street signs for Arona.
