A very simple itinerary, almost entirely on the network of bike paths along the Cannobino torrent.

The starting point is in the Lido di Cannobio zone, near the outlet of the Cannobino torrent. You will begin by following the beautiful lake shore as far as the town hall, then take Via XVII Maggio to the intersection with the state route and cross over it. Skirt the parking lot and follow the foot of the slope on secondary roads. Then take Via Cuserina for about 400 metres. Take the bike path from here that rises to halfway up the slope, up to the springs of Acqua Carlina. From here, the path descends once again with a few hair-pin turns until it intersects the Valle Cannobina road, which you will follow for about 800 metres to the turn for the precipice of Sant’Anna, a spectacular gorge eroded in the rock. After crossing the bridge, you will encounter the bike path, almost level, that follows the left bank of the torrent. When you reach the walkway, to return to the Lido you can cross the bridge and continue along the bike path on the right bank, or continue along the bike path on the left bank that intersects the state route of Lake Maggiore in correspondence to the bridge. From here, you skirt the playing field on the bike path and return to the starting point.
