Itinerary appropriate for MTB or hybrid bike due to the presence of many dirt roads.
Behind the train station, follow the Brera and Partigiani streets to the intersection with Via 17 Martiri, turn left and continue on Via Passarella. After crossing over the torrent, continue on Strada Cavalli Oltrefiume, then follow Via Lavarini to the wooden walkway across the motorway interchange. At the bottom of the descent, cross the state route and continue on the bike path to the left until you reach the locality of Feriolo. In the centre, follow Via Cavaggi that crosses the busy state route 33, and go downhill until you find the bike path again on the left. Follow the indications for the bank of the Toce, where you will find the bike path of the same name: to the right, it leads to the Verbania Pallanza train station; to the left, it leads to the centre of Gravellona Toce.
To return to the starting point, you can take the train or follow the Feriolo Baveno bike path in the opposite direction, along the lake shore.
For your return, it is best to inquire in advance about train schedules and the possibility to load bicycles on board.
